Does GDDR3 Video Cards work next to a DDR2 Ram motherboard?

Im looking to upgrade my computer, and the video card i want to carry is GDDR3. Does my motherboard have to use GDDR3 RAM for this to work? and does the G at the begining niggardly anything? Like if i have a DDR2 run into, can i use GDDR2 video cards?

Yes those two have nought related to each other. You want to make sure the slots are compatable. My guess is your card is a pci express x16 which most unusual mtoherboards that support DDR2 also have.
Yes, it will work and your computer does not call for a DDR3 memory.(Theres no DDR3 system memory anyway)



GDDR3 RAM is stand for Graphic double data rate 3 hit or miss access memory. Which means that the memory is simply use it for video card. Also,the video card use it own onboard GDD3 memory and has zilch to do with your DDR2 system memory.
