I've see the new Killer introduce yourself card and it claims to increase online gaming performance and such. Does it net that big of a difference over inboard network controllers? Is it that polite an investment, Im huge into online shooters. Anybody go from inboard to the Killer or similar to card?

The normal onboard web card runs at a speed of 100mpbs. Since most broadband services run much slower then that, (about 3mbps), switching to a different web card should make no difference.
Heck, dance for it. It is kind of pricy, but it take the load of your southbridge, which is freed up to switch different things
Plus your routing through the computer memory and using on-board utilities and the MB controller chip, I am a MCSE tech and run my own business, with the newer 10/100/1000 ethernet cards, and price, if you can afford $35 it is a accurate investment, it will opt away from the on-board issues and run directly and only use a minimum of memory, a SDRAM or DIMM upgrade or fortification could and can make a difference, i.e. not expensive either, depending on the max your board can bar and type you require, so all total it could set you posterior $60-75 for both pieces.
