Does a compact disc Burner Burn Out?

If i burn to various cd/dvd's, will it not be able to burn unless i receive a new burner?

Everything suffers from wear and hole and all machines eventually stop working. There isn't a small curb on the amount you can use the drive though.
I have have CD & DVD burners for years and never enjoy burned one out !
Apart from wear and tear, you probabily inevitability to clean the lens of the disc burner after excessive use. Electronic components in the drive may founder following a bath-tub curve ( high breakdown at start, low failure contained by the life-time, and high let-down at the end of life) and burn out the drive.
