Do I/ Should I coppers my workstation memory from DDR to DDR2?

Gonna relocate from Celeron D processor to Core 2 Duo, should i also spend $100 more dollars for 1gig of DDR2 Memory or just stay near 768 DDR memory.

Do I/ Should I coppers my workstation memory from DDR to DDR2?

This this here is a choice we all have to make....

DDR or DDR2 ?

To bring up to date the truth there won't be much difference contained by speed. DDR ended at 400 Mhz Bus and DDR2 started from 400,533,677. This isn't honourable, wait sometimes and you will find RAM next to 800,1000,1200 MHz bus. Wait now, and when those are released buy a motherboard and some DDR2s. Stay next to DDR for now. Anyway, if you supply more 512 MB ram to your 768 MB consequently you can outrun a 1 GB DDR2.
DDR2 memory is better, but make sure your motherboard can touch it.
Chances are that you opted for a Core 2 Duo because of speed (gaming). It would be a moral idea if you also invest on a DDR2 memory.
doing the switch, you won't see only just any difference in speed. the speed in principal is your processor. i really don't think they hold boards out that do this anyways. you're basically waisting your money by doing this. if you continue 6 months, the processor will likely drop $100 or more within price also.
Depends on your motherboard set up. DDR & DDR2 are different shapes and DDR2 may not match it and fit into the slots.
It depends whether ur motherboard could support it.

i deliberate u should go for it . .... if ur motherboard can support up to 2 gb next u can go for i gig+ ur inventive 768

this will increase ur meomry space and also wid ur speed

tell me what u hold done .

enjoy life span
if ur motherboard supports DDR2 u should go for it
